New Library

OK, so we were back to Kindermusik today. All went well. Sang some songs, danced a little, gave Mason five. All good.

Then, afterward, Daddy said, 'Let's go to the library'.

So we did, except it was all different.

A) They had different toys
B) It looked all different
C) It wasn't downtown

Apparently there is another library. And I got a card.

Sweet.

Back to School

Back to Joanie's today. Last week we were off because of Spring Break. Totally lame. I don't understand why you would NOT want to go to school. It makes no sense.

Cat Scratch Fever

So apparently Daddy and I aren't the only ones who like to relax on the couch.

Yesterday, I was downstairs with Daddy and Sophie. Daddy and I were playing, while Sophie was just laying on the couch sleeping. Now, I thought she might want to come play with Daddy and I, so I went up to her and woke her up.

Well, she must have been having a bad dream or something, because she hit me right in the forehead. And she obviously hadn't had her nails trimmed in a while, cuz she left a scratch on my forehead.

It didn't hurt, and I didn't cry, but I was still kinda upset that my friend would do that to me.

I mean, it wasn't like she was watching a game or anything.

The Madness

Daddy taught me an important lesson over the weekend.

Basically, all you need is a bowl of crackers, a sippy cup full of juice, the NCAA Basketball Tournament on the TV and the NCAA Wrestling Championships on the radio.

What was really fun was when we got to act out what was happening. I'd see a guy get two points on TV, so I would run down to my basketball hoop and get two points. Then sometimes Daddy would come down and wrestle me too.

Life is good.

My New Buddy

Made a new friend this weekend.

On Friday, one of Daddy's friends had to go interview some Russian dudes so he brought his little girl Avery over here for me to look after while he was gone.

At first, I was a little apprehensive. She kept wanting to play with my toys and she had all kinds of hair. But after a bit, I realized she was lots of fun and we played together lots. I showed her my kitchen and my basketball hoop, and my blocks and animals.

Then, when her Daddy came back, we went to he Children's Museum. It was totally fun. And then we got to eat at the food court.

Just so you know, you can't stuff all the roast beef from an Arby's sandwich in your mouth at once. You can only get about half in.

Sesame Outakes

It's my favorite entertainer with Daddy's favorite entertainer.

The Terrorists Are Winning

So, remember how I told you about the kidnapping on Sesame Street?

Well, those guys are playing hardball now. Now they have cut off the last 10 minutes of Sesame Street so they can air their demands.

I think I have a plan, though. I remember when I was a little baby, Daddy and I watched this show called Die Hard that dealt with the same kind of situation. There was this guy named John, and he showed exactly how you gotta deal with bad guys.

Yippie-ki-aye.

Gettin' Up Late

OK, so this morning was really weird. Daddy usually comes in and gets me at around the same time every day, but today he was late. Really late, actually. I'm talking at least 45 minute to an hour.

It wasn't a big deal. I just sat there with Toodee and Moxy and Puglee and Pete and Black and White Kitty and waited patiently.

But Daddy was really late.

It was almost as if he took out the recycling, then came back to discover that the door locked behind him and he didn't have a key or his phone, so he had to go to the neighbors house and call Mommy, but since he didn't have his phone he didn't have mommy's pager number or her office number, so he had to call the hospital main line, then get connected to Mommy's secretary, who then had to page her in the operating room, and when she called Daddy back she couldn't come give him the key because she was in the middle of surgery, so she had a resident go to her office, get the keys, drive her car home so he could give the key to Daddy, who then got back in and came to get me up about 45 minutes late.

But that doesn't make sense, cuz Daddy is a GOOD parent, and a good parent would never do that.

Musta just been the time change.

Big Trouble

We may have a situation here.

Yesterday when I was watching Sesame Street, there were these guys standing in front of a bunch of people talking on the phone, and they said that unless we pay them money, they will take Sesame Street off the air.

Yes, terrorists have seized Sesame Street!!!

They didn't specifically say how much they needed, but they said that we need to call them and give them money or the show will go off the air. They even said something about sending us a Tote Bag... I can't IMAGINE what would be in it, but I know that Elmo wouldn't fit unless those people did something HORRIBLE to him.

What should we do? I can't live without Sesame Street, but I don't have any money to send. I tried calling the cops, but none of the phones I have work. I can talk into them, but I can't hear anything back.

Swing Batter Batter

Rumor has it that it's not going to be too cold anymore soon. This is good, cuz I miss the backyard. While I do have a basketball hoop downstairs, I miss playing baseball and Daddy won't let me hit off the tee in the house.

Anyway, Daddy went out shopping the other day and brought me back some awesome stuff. A NEW baseball hat and a NEW baseball glove!!! I'm so ready to play.

Our Third Episode of ER

So, remember a while back when I talked about how fun it was to go to the doctor?

Well, there is a new kinda doctor that was even more fun to go to. It's called the Emergency Room, and I got to go last Friday.

You see, when I woke up from my nap Friday afternoon, my throat and chest were making weird noises when I breathed. Daddy called the doctor, and they said to come in. The only problem was that it was 4:30 and too late to go to my normal doctor, so they said to go to the Emergency Room.

We did, and they were really nice. After giving me a bracelet, they let me pick out a book to keep (I picked out Goodnight Gorilla cuz it is one of my favorites, but Daddy said I should get a different one since I already have that one, so we got Green Eggs and Ham). Then they gave me a pony with pink hair.

So we waited around, and I was feeling better so I checked out the room and ran down the hall and stuff. Then the doctor came in and checked me out and said I was probably OK. Then Mommy showed up, wearing a coat just like the doctor had on. She checked me out too and said I was OK. Then she talked to the doctor a while and they gave me some medicine to use just in case I needed it (I haven't). Apparently I had a little virus, kinda like the one that put me in the hospital when I was a little baby, but this time I am big enough to handle it.

So, to recap, I got a free book, free pony, free bracelet, a sticker, and I got to see Mommy at work. Pretty good, eh? This was MUCH better than the last two times I was at the Emergency Room. Now I know I don't have to get really sick or swallow a penny to go.

Just gotta wheeze a bit when the clinic is closed.
